The steam turbine manufacturing process includes the following quality checks:
- Material Chemical Composition test
- Mechanical Properties test (Tensile, yield strength, elongation, hardness etc.)
- Heat treatment
- NDT test
- Visual inspection of the part
- Examination/inspection of integral parts such as reduction gears
- Dimensional checks as per control drawing
